A silhouette built on proportion

The E-HS9's exterior draws on Hongqi's long-standing design language — a long bonnet, an upright grille inspired by the marque's ceremonial history, and a roofline that tapers gently toward a wide, planted stance. The result is a six-seat SUV that reads as sculptural rather than merely large.

Flush door handles, a near-seamless glass canopy and hidden shut-lines reduce visual clutter, letting the surfacing do the talking. Hongqi's designers describe the approach as "quiet confidence" — presence achieved through restraint rather than ornamentation.

Numbers in service of the experience

Underneath that silhouette sits a dual-motor, all-wheel-drive powertrain producing up to 492 bhp, capable of a 5.5-second 0–100 km/h sprint despite the car's scale. A 120 kWh battery pack delivers up to 570 km of WLTP range, enough for the E-HS9 to comfortably serve as both a daily driver and a long-distance flagship.

Double-wishbone front and trapezoidal-arm rear suspension, paired with air suspension and Continuous Damping Control, are tuned to prioritise composure over outright sportiness — in keeping with the car's role as a chauffeured or self-driven statement piece.

Design as philosophy

For Hongqi, the E-HS9 is the clearest expression yet of New Nobility: a design philosophy that treats heritage and innovation as complementary forces rather than a trade-off. It is, the brand says, what a flagship SUV looks like when it is designed from the inside out.
